Market Maker Score System

Terms and Conditions

Market Maker Scoring System

1. Acceptance of the Terms

The Market Maker (hereinafter, "MM") accepts these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree, you will not be an El Dorado MM.

2. Scoring Scale

The MM score is calculated on a scale of 0 to 1, where:

  • 0 represents poor performance.
  • 1 represents optimal performance.

3. Key Metrics for Score Calculation

MM performance is evaluated based on 4 metrics:

MetricsPositive CriterionNegative Criterion
ACompletion time: Time required to complete orders.3.5 minutes20 minutes
BUser rating: Positive ratings received from order takers.52.5
COrder Completed Percentage: Proportion of orders completed successfully as MM.92%70%
DNumber of completed orders: Total number of orders completed by the MM.50050
  1. The base score is calculated for each parameter (A, B, C, and D).
  2. A, B, C, and D average is calculated (X).
  3. Then, an average is calculated between X and the lowest base score among A, B, C, and D.
  4. The final score will be that average.

4. Levels of Market Makers

MMs will be classified into the following levels according to their score:

  • Gold Level (0.90 - 1.0): Excellent performance.
  • Silver Level (0.80 - 0.89): Good performance.
  • Bronze Level (0.60-0.79): Acceptable performance.
  • No Level: (0.30-0.59): A no-level MM is a merchant with fewer than 20 completed orders in the last 30 days. These MMs won't be displayed on the switch, but their listings will appear in the orderbook.
  • Penalty: (0.00-0.29): You will only be able to trade private orders. Your ads will not be displayed in the order book or on Change.

5. Orders and Disputes

In order to improve the P2P marketplace experience, protect Market Takers, and ensure more successful trades, we will be implementing a congestion control system for Market Makers. This measure aims to prevent order overload and reduce the risk of cancellations and disputes.

From now on, Market Makers will have a limit on the number of active simultaneous orders based on their level, in addition to a cap on the number of open disputes. These limits are designed to ensure a more stable and fair trading flow for all marketplace participants.

Limits by Market Maker Level:

No level (no badge)

  • Maximum of 3 simultaneous orders.
  • Up to 10 active disputes.

Bronze

  • Maximum of 5 simultaneous orders, including disputes.
  • Up to 50 simultaneous disputes.

Gold and Silver

  • Maximum of 20 simultaneous orders, disputes do not count.
  • Maximum 100 simultaneous disputes.

Important: If a Market Maker reaches the maximum number of active disputes allowed for their level, they will not be able to receive new orders until they resolve at least one of them.

If a Market Maker reaches the maximum number of open orders, their bids will be temporarily hidden from the orderbook until one of the existing orders is released.

6. Score Update

Your score is calculated in real time and reflects your performance over the past 30 days. Each new transaction you complete can cause your score to rise, fall, or remain stable, depending on your recent results. Therefore, the score is dynamic and updates automatically every day.

The system constantly recalculates your score based on your performance in the previous 30 days. If you successfully complete an order today, your score improves. If you cancel it, it may decrease.

7. Market Maker Responsibilities

The MM accepts that the accuracy of its score depends on the veracity of the information provided and its actual performance. The platform is not responsible for inaccuracies or misunderstandings related to the score. It will also not be liable for cancellations or decisions made by users who place orders.

8. Modifications to the Scoring System

We reserve the right to modify the scoring system, as well as the criteria and metrics used to calculate it. Any changes will be communicated appropriately to the MMs.

9. Rating information

If the MM wishes to obtain information about their rating, they may contact us through the channels provided for customer service and support. If they disagree with the rating obtained, the MM must provide all necessary information regarding all orders placed during the month in which the rating is different. Under no circumstances will El Dorado be responsible for providing reports or additional information.
